These tangible results illustrate how the transformation program we l aunched in 2005 is really gain ing momentum, with a greater focus on services and the development of new offerings. Our increasing commercial success is built on three major engines for growth:
First and foremost, our Services business, which has recorded very solid growth of, on average, 15% a year; double the rate of the market. This business already represents 35% of our revenues. In Bull Direct we have regularly reported on the major projects we have won in this area during 2007, including the State of California , the Chorus state financial management system in France and the Australian Post Office .
In products, one of our main fields of excellence and strategic development is High-Performance Computing (HPC). In less than three years, Bull has delivered 200 supercomputers to 100 customers in 15 countries across three continents, and has won worldwide recognition in this marketplace. Most recently, soon after four of Brazil ’s seven largest universities chose Bull solutions, it was the turn of the prestigious Cardiff University to demonstrate its trust in us.
For 2008, we have also fired up secure data storage as a driver for growth. The demands in this area are becoming colossal and enormously complex. Only a technology partner like Bull – with in-depth expertise in all the critical components of the storage chain – can successfully build the most appropriate solution for each customer’s highly specific needs.
A significant page in Bull’s transformation was written in 2007. In 2008, our ambition is to ensure that Bull is definitively positioned on the winning trajectory.
