The Bull NovaScale R422 server presents its first evolution: the new NovaScale R422 E1 servers offer more performance with even higher energy efficiency. These ultra-dense servers are specifically designed for use as computing nodes within High Performance Computing clusters. They are ideally sized to deliver the level of performance needed by power-hungry HPC applications.

	The Bull NovaScale R422 E1 2x 2-socket rack servers, based on Intel® Xeon® processors, support Linux and Microsoft® Windows® HPC Server environments. They are ideally suited for use as compute nodes, in combination with NovaScale R423 service nodes.

Breakthrough computing density
	The innovative packaging of the NovaScale R422 E1 allows to fit 2 servers into a single 1U chassis. With up to 16 cores, up to 192 Gflops in 1U, the R422 E1 has the same density as blades, but with the flexibility of 1U commodity servers. It saves on chassis, power supply, cabling, and rack costs. Its outstanding density allows to minimise footprint and significantly reduce real estate or rental costs.
Eco-friendly energy efficiency
	The NovaScale R422 E1 chassis features a highly efficient Power Supply Unit, allowing huge savings on energy costs. With a 92% power utilisation rate, it is far ahead of conventional PSUs (< 80%).
