The EMC® RecoverPoint family provides cost-effective, local continuous data protection and continuous remote replication solutions that allow for any-point-in-time data recovery. EMC RecoverPoint/CL is a single solution that provides the advantages of host-based and array-based solutions while replicating data from any SAN-based array to any other SAN-based array over existing Fibre Channel od IP network, quickly, simply and cost-effectively, using any combination of host-based, EMC VMAXe™ and EMC VNX™ series-based, EMC CLARiiON®-based, or intelligent fabric-based write-splitting options. EMC RecoverPoint/EX is a product variant that is optimized for the EMC VMAXe, VNX and CLARiiON storage arrays. EMC RecoverPoint/SE is a product variant that is optimized for the EMC VNX, CLARiiON and Celerra® unified storage arrays. All three products enable customers to centralize and simplify their data protection management for physical and virtual environments.

Local data protection and remote replication
	The RecoverPoint family includes a local continuous data protection (CDP) module and a continuous remote replication (CRR) module which can run on the same RecoverPoint appliance to provide concurrent local and remote (CLR) data protection, delivering a single solution that protects the same data both locally and remotely. This allows cost reduction and easy management based on specific needs for end-to-end data protection.
Bandwidth reduction and data compression lower costs
	The RecoverPoint family reduces replication bandwidth requirements by employing data compression and intelligent bandwidth-reduction technologies that can deliver up to a 10:1 reduction in WAN bandwidth.
