consists of custom-configured rack-mounted Express5800 servers in a single cabinet giving a full range of storage facilities, all factory pre-cabled and tested. This offer is particularly suited to the rapid deployment of e-business enterprise applications or infrastructures that require very high reliability and availability.

Configurations acquired through R@ck’n Roll^TM program may be designed from the complete range of 2- and 4-way Intel® processor-based Bull’s Express5800 servers, together with storage subsystems and accessories, rack-mounted according to customer requirements. 

This highly modular approach can be used to build infrastructures, eventually with SAN (Storage Area Network) as well as high availability configurations. All are fully tested and rack-mounted, ready for easy and rapid installation on the user’s site.

All components, including cabling and the racks, are stress-tested at Bull’s production facility at Angers, France, and have been tested for standards compliance, including transportability, by the French National Testing Laboratory. As an option, future users have access to a prototype of their configuration in a secure zone in the factory enabling them to load and configure applications, systems and network software. Full scale testing of the desired high availability configurations and SAN infrastructures can be performed in conditions of absolute security. Configuring well in advance reduces the time of on-site installation and is essential for secured sites and those running round-the-clock operations.
