Bull and Scalable Systems partner to integrate Scalable Rocks with the Bull NovaScale platform

Singapore-based Scalable Systems Pte Ltd and Paris-based Bull announce that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to optimize and support the Scalable Rocks software suite on Bull NovaScale servers. The Scalable Rocks suite will be integrated within the NovaScale server platform to deliver solutions to the High-Performance Computing market drawing on the two innovative technologies. Both companies will work together to address customer requirements for high-end, scalable HPC solutions.

Scalable Systems has been a co-developer of open source Rocks since 2001 and has contributed to several open source and commercial Rocks Rolls since that date. Scalable Rocks is based on Rocks cluster software, developed both by the Grid and Cluster Computing Group at San Diego Supercomputer Centre and its collaborators.
Bull NovaScale servers have been recognized by the market as the foundation of the most advanced and highly scalable HPC solutions worldwide. Bull is currently deploying on NovaScale cluster nodes the largest HPC system in Europe.
The Bull NovaScale Attitude program, which Scalable Systems is joining today, has been providing many ISVs worldwide with the opportunity to port, test and optimize their solutions on the NovaScale platform.
