Bull Board member Jean-François Heitz named as Chairman of the Group's Audit Committee

Jean-François Heitz (56), Board member of Bull, has been named as the new Chairman of the company's Audit Committee.
Jean-François Heitz began his career in 1974 as an engineer in Operational Research at Air Liquide. In 1978, he joined UNITEC as Export Director, moving two years later to Matra where, in 1981, he became Controller for the Automation division. In 1983, he moved to Boston, for 4 years, where he was VP Finance for Matra Datavision, President of Matra Technology and chaired the Audit Committees of Matra's local subsidiaries before becoming VP Finance & Administration of Matra Systèmes.
He joined Microsoft France in 1989, where he was appointed General Manager, Operations and Services and, in parallel, Financial and Administrative Director of Microsoft Southern Europe.
In 1994, he moved to the Microsoft headquarters in Redmond, Washington. In 1998 he was named Corporate Treasurer then Deputy CFO of Microsoft Corp.
Since 2003, Jean-François Heitz has been a member of the Boards of Business Objects and Wavecom, as well as Chairman of their Audit Committees. He also serves on the Boards of ARC International and Total Immersion. Maintaining his close links with the technical and research world, Jean François Heitz is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Stanford School of Management Science & Engineering and the Stanford Technology Ventures Program.
Jean-François Heitz is a graduate of the Ecole des Mines de Paris where he was valedictorian. He also holds a Master of Sciences degree from the University of Stanford.
