Logical partitioning offer on Bull DPS 7000/XTA series

• Virtualization software: GSX Server 2.5 of VMware^™
• GSX Server transforms physical server into a pool of Virtual Machines (VMs)
• GSX can support multiple VMs with similar or dissimilar guest operating systems:
  • All Windows versions and MS-DOS
  • Linux distributions and kernels
    (Red Hat, Mandrake, Suse and Turbolinux)
• Customer applications and guest operating systems are isolated in multiple, secure, transportable and scalable VMs

• Additional HW resources (Windows CPU & memory, disk and Ethernet card), if possible dedicated to GSX, are strongly recommended
• GSX Server is optional on all DPS 7000/XTA models, provided that the system has sufficient resources:
  • At least one additional Windows CPU on GCOS 7 monoprocessor models is mandatory
• Bull DPS 7000/XTA with logical partitioning is ideally suited to:
