MainWay 2600
MainWay 2600 is a powerful multi-protocol communication
server providing a wide choice of LAN (Ethernet 10/100 BaseT, Gigabit Ethernet, ATM) and
WAN links for Data Center servers farm integrating UNIX, Web, Windows NT servers, MVS and
GCOS servers.
Based on a modular and very flexible architecture, it
enables corporation to build the best access solutions for their present and future needs.
MainWay 2600 includes a full set of communication services enabling access to e-Commerce
applications platforms based on Web, UNIX, Windows NT, MVS and GCOS servers, from standard
Internet/intranet browsers
MainWay product family is based on 6 models: entry level with 2600LE, 2601S, 2615S,
2615ES, and medium/high level with 2635S and 2655S (integrating best of the class
equipment for high speed LAN switching), supporting communication operating system with
dedicated communication processors called SNP (Secured Network Processor), and line
equipment for secured remote access through WAN services. Low-boy and high boy cabinet
houses all the equipment

(1) MainWay 2600LE is dedicated to the DPS 7000/XTA family,
replacing the CNP7 and DN7500 (small models) communications processors.
(2) The WNP processor is available only for the MainWay 2600LE, it provides DSA
communications support only.
(3) RS530 interface is not available for the MainWay 2600LE
(4) Number of Ethernet ports available for external use depends on the exact MainWay
configuration.
