STK L700 Cartridge Tape Library
The STK L700 library provides sophisticated automated tape storage for larger
configurations with largest capabilities where many cartridges can be stored. It
can store up to 13.56 Terabytes (uncompressed).

The main technical characteristics of STK L700
library are:
- Number of cartridge slots: 216, 384, 678
(with expansion frame), plus 12 slots for diagnostic and cleaning cartridges.
- Number of drives: six with the single drive column or 12 with the second
column.
- Average cartridge access time: 4.5 seconds (with 9840 drive) cell to drive.
- Bar code reader: Standard digital camera
-based system.
- CAP (Cartridge Access Port) 20 cartridges
capacity or 40 cartridges capacity with additional CAP.
In addition the drives are Hot swappable, in
option, the power supplies can be redundant.
