Life cycle status

OpenMaster version 4.54 is the earliest supported version.
OpenMaster version 4.53 and earlier are outside their support period and are not Year 2000-ready.

Testing status

Bull products have undergone a full range of tests to ensure that the transition into the new millennium is performed properly. The results of these tests are published in the Bull Year 2000 Compliance catalog.

Note : SP means Service Pack.

(1) Prerequisites for OpenMaster Year 2000 readiness :
     - Year 2000 readiness of overall hardware configuration including hardware platform on which OpenMaster is running as well as hardware of managed systems.
     - Year 2000 readiness of all basic software including operating systems running in conjunction with OpenMaster as well as the basic software of managed systems.

(2) Our records indicate that all users of version 5.0 have installed Service Pack 2 or later, and we do not plan further tests on Service Pack 1.

(3) Year 2000 Readiness requires the installation of individual fixes or Service Pack 4 for Open Master version 4.54.

(4) Year 2000 Readiness requires the installation of Service Pack 4 for Open Master version 4.54 or a migration to OpenMaster version 5.0 or higher.

(1) Backup Unet 3.5.2 is not supported with OpenMaster 4.54. Possible migration to Legato Networker, please contact your usual OpenMaster representative.

(2) Year 2000 readiness requires patch 19 on Networker 4.2.5, patch 10 on Networker 5.0 and no patch on Networker 5.5. More detailed Y2K information is available on the Legato website.

(3) More detailed Y2K information is available on the Oracle website.

(4) ARS 3.0.1 Year 2000 readiness requires the application of patches 688 and 732. ARS 3.2.1 Year 2000 readiness requires the application of patches 689 and 732.  These patches can be downloaded from Remedy support website.  ARS 4.0.1 is Year 2000 ready without patches. More detailed Y2K information is available on the Remedy website.

(5) Year 2000 readiness requires the application of fix 2684 on Job Scheduler version 4.3.0F. Information source : Orsyp.

(6) For customers using StatusWatch Web reporter, Transcend NCS 5.0 requires a patch: P0198 for Solaris, P0199 for HP-UX and P0200 for AIX. More detailed information is available on the 3Com website.
