Sagister is Bull's enterprise-class open production system.

Life cycle status

Sagister release 98.2 is the only version guaranteed as being totally Year 2000 ready, and the only version to be totally supported by Bull after Jan. 01, 2000.

Maintenance policy and the Year 2000

A Sagister release is a set of mutually-compatible, validated and integrated products, with built-in release management capabilities. The moment that any single component product is identified as not being Year 2000-ready, the whole release is automatically designated as being not Year 2000-ready.

The single technical answer to the Year 2000 issue is release 98.2 which is the only Sagister release tested as being Year 2000-ready. No other Sagister release is Year 2000 ready.

Some other manufacturers of Sagister component products may come to modify their Year 2000 readiness status without notice. This could affect Sagister's current Year 2000 readiness status for 98.2. Since we are only too well aware that Year 2000 is an issue critical to your business, we will undertake to make available, deliver and integrate, whatever solution or new (component) product version is required to re-establish your Sagister Year 2000 readiness status.


Testing status

Current tests aim to identify residual problems in component products and indicate the version which provides full Year 2000 readiness. Their results will be posted as updates to the compliance catalog.

Bull delivers release 98.2 through a customer-personalized update service, allowing the minimization of production downtime.
