Maricopa County chooses Bull NovaScale

Maricopa County Sheriff's Office in Arizona, which serves the fifth largest county in the United States, has installed a Bull NovaScale 9165 server with GCOS 8 SR6 and a Virtuo Media Server. More than half of the State of Arizona’s population resides in Maricopa County, which includes the cities of Phoenix, Mesa, Glendale, Scottsdale, Tempe, Chandler, Peoria and Gilbert. (Read more >>)

State of California formally accepts Bull Services’ Medicaid Solution

Successful implementation of largest Medicaid data warehouse in the nation will help California manage $38 billion program and more than 6.6 million beneficiaries

The State of California has formally accepted the Bull Services Next Generation (NextGen) Management Information System/Decision Support System (MIS/DSS) Business Intelligence solution to help manage its $38 billion Medicaid program, known as Medi-Cal.

The solution, which went “live” in the spring, is designed to more efficiently manage the Medi-Cal program, save money for California taxpayers, and improve health care services for millions of Californians. (Read more >>)

GCOS 7 Gets Relational

A major theme of this year’s Summit 2008 conference was “Designing the Future” and how Bull is helping customers implement new technologies. Bull Innovations and Web 2.0 R&D programs announced

“Bull Innovations for the Enterprise 2.0” were unveiled at the recent Summit 2008 meeting in Phoenix, Arizona. Bull presented the topic at the opening General Session, followed by a workshop where Pierre Salkazanov, Head of Bull R&D, Jim Smith and other members of the Phoenix Engineering Team discussed the projects in greater detail and provided a demonstration of some of the key solutions.

According to Pierre Salkazanov, Bull has created a new R&D section dedicated to innovation with a number of projects currently underway at Bull’s worldwide engineering centers both in the U.S. and in Europe. (Read more >>)

U.S. Agency awards a consortium with Bull a $10 million IT services contract to modernize Egyptian tax administration
A consortium set up by Bull with the US affiliate of Raya, the leading Egyptian IT services provider, has won a contract for the procurement, development, customization and implementation of an integrated tax management and administration system for the Egyptian Tax Authority. The contract was awarded through the TAPR II Project being implemented by BearingPoint and is financed by the United States Agency for International Development. Part of the country’s fiscal reform and modernization program, the goal of this particular component is to improve the efficiency of tax administration in Egypt.
