As Europe accelerates investments in AI infrastructure, Bull is expanding its portfolio with the AMD Helios™ rackscale solution, a new rack-scale platform designed to meet the growing needs of cloud service providers, NeoClouds, and emerging European AI Gigafactories and help them in supporting increasingly large AI models and data-intensive workloads these requirements.
Powered by next-generation AMD EPYC™ 9006 processors, AMD Instinct™ accelerators, and AMD Pensando™ networking technology, AMD Helios is designed for some of the world's most demanding AI and HPC workloads – from AI training and inference to scientific computing – while improving efficiency and scalability. A fully configured rack can scale up to 72 MI455X accelerators interconnected through UALink-over-Ethernet 800 Gb/s, providing up to 31 TB of HBM4 memory and nearly 3 AI EFLOPS of peak AI performance.
As part of this collaboration, what is expected to be first AMD Helios rack in Europe will be deployed at CINES, with GENCI, by the end of 2026 in preparation of the Alice Recoque project. The system will allow researchers, engineers and developers to begin preparing and optimising applications in anticipation of the future exascale-class infrastructure.
