The Bull User Group for eXtreme Computing (BUX) is a global, independent community of users dedicated to enhancing the capabilities of large-scale, parallel scientific and technical computing systems provided by Bull. The group fosters the exchange of information and knowledge about these systems and offers guidance to Bull on critical development and support needs for large-scale technical environments. Bull, as an affiliate, is committed to supporting this user group.
BUX was established on 20th June 2011, during ISC’11 in Hamburg, following discussions earlier that year in Paris among users of Bull's extreme computing solutions.
Being a part of this group, for more than a decade, alongside the innovative minds behind our HPC technology, has been a diverse, open, supportive community to help us solve common issues as well as share the joy of the successes achieved together.

Being able to have a technical exchange with other Bull customers is invaluable to steer together future developments and discuss current issues. BUX is one of the best venues for this exchange and any organization deploying Bull clusters should, in my opinion, consider joining.

BUX provides an essential link to other High-Performance Computing (HPC) sites and often supports efficient problem solving. With the commissioning of the second Eviden HPC system in a row at DKRZ, BUX shows that it cam make a significant contribution to operational success.

The Bull user group is a great place for exchanging knowledge about operating large scale HPC systems for different domain topis. The in-person meetings are always a great experience and allow HPC admins to talk openly about all topics regarding the operation of HPC.

BUX allows every member to get very close with each other. Our systems perform better through the shared experiences of every BUX member.

Associate membership is available for organisations that are responsible for operating a significant portion of an HPC system. An Associate Member does not have any voting rights. The Members of BUX vote to accept an institution as an Associate Member. An Associate Member must have accepted and signed the present Charter and Rules including the Rules of Confidentiality.
